Boise State's Albertsons Library collecting children's books for Operation Wish Book through Dec. 1

The library aims to gather 650 new or gently used books for readers up to age 18.

BOISE - Boise State University's Albertsons Library is collecting children's books for Operation Wish Book again this November, the university said Nov. 4. The library's goal this year is 650 new books.

Operation Wish Book was founded by a group of retired Idaho teachers and has worked for more than 30 years to get new books to Idaho children. The library has supported it since 1994 and has collected more than 4,000 books over that time, according to the university.

The drive takes new, unwrapped or very gently used paperback, hardback and board books for children and young adults from birth to age 18. Drop-off points are on the first and fourth floors of Albertsons Library, and donations are accepted Nov. 1 through Dec. 1. The university's post lists an email address for questions and monetary donations.
