Lewiston, Trenton and Nibley set hearings on budget, grants and driveways
CACHE VALLEY - Three north and south valley governments have public hearings scheduled next week, according to notices on the Utah Public Notice Website.
Lewiston will hold a hearing Monday, Nov. 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the City Club Room, 29 S. Main, on adjustments to its fiscal 2027 budget for a land purchase tied to the city's sewer project, its notice says.
The Trenton Town Council takes comment Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m. at 17 E. Main on projects for the 2026 Community Development Block Grant cycle. The Bear River Association of Governments expects about $850,000 in the cycle, and Trenton previously received $41,807 for cemetery road improvements, according to the agenda. The council will also discuss cemetery burial rates and an internal accessory dwelling unit ordinance.
Nibley's Planning and Zoning Commission meets Thursday, Nov. 12, at 6:30 p.m. at 455 W. 3200 S. on Ordinance 26-16, which would drop the shared or rear-loaded driveway requirement for R-M lots narrower than 80 feet, according to its notice.
Why this matters
Written comments on the Nibley change are due by 5 p.m. Nov. 11 to talonb@nibleycity.gov, and the full staff report posts by Nov. 9, the notice says.
