County recreation center study committee meets Nov. 2 to shape resident survey
LOGAN - A Cache County committee studying a possible regional recreation center is set to discuss the framework for a survey on the project at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, at the Cache County Historic Courthouse, 199 N. Main St., according to the meeting agenda.
The agenda lists survey questions about cost, location, amenities and how the center would be operated. The committee is also scheduled to review its timeline. It plans few or no meetings in December, a review of the survey findings in January, when it would pick a recommended concept and operating approach, and a final recommendation and presentation to the County Council in February.
The eight-member committee includes two County Council members, Kathryn A. Beus and Keegan Garrity, along with representatives of north and south county cities, the unincorporated county and the county seat. Members are also set to approve minutes from their Oct. 26 meeting.
People who need accommodations to attend should contact the county at 435-755-1850 at least three working days before a meeting, the agenda says.
Why this matters
The survey the committee is shaping will ask residents about the cost, location, amenities and operation of a possible regional recreation center. Its findings are set to guide the concept the committee picks in January and the recommendation it plans to bring to the County Council in February. The meeting is open to the public at the Historic Courthouse.
