Moore's Oct. 31 Red Ribbon Parade cancelled; Haunt Old Town closes streets Saturday
MOORE - The Red Ribbon Parade scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 31, has been cancelled, according to a notice on the City of Moore's website. The notice does not give a reason, say who cancelled it or say whether it will be rescheduled.
Haunt Old Town still runs Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m., the city says. Streets will be closed from 3 to 7:30 p.m.: Broadway Avenue from NE 2nd south to SE 2nd; Main Street from Chestnut east to just past the police department; Howard from north of Main south to SW 2nd; and SE 1st from Howard to east of Broadway. NE 2nd, NE 1st and SE 1st will also be closed on each side of Broadway.
The city recognizes Oct. 31 for door-to-door trick-or-treating and has set no start or stop times. A porch light that is on means a home is handing out candy; a light that is off means it is not, the city says.
