Scarecrow contest and Horrorland Carnival Fest on Cleveland County Fairgrounds calendar for Saturday
The Master Gardener contest runs 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; the ticketed Horrorland event runs 6 to 10 p.m. at the Event Center.
NORMAN - Two events are listed for Saturday, Oct. 24, on the Cleveland County Fairgrounds' online calendar: a daytime scarecrow contest and an evening Halloween carnival.
The Cleveland County Master Gardener Second Annual Scarecrow Contest runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the calendar shows. The listing gives only a Norman ZIP code for the location and does not say whether the contest is open to the public or only to entrants.
Horrorland Carnival Fest runs from 6 to 10 p.m. at the fairgrounds Event Center, 615 E. Robinson St. The event's listing describes it as a Halloween attraction with a walk-through horror maze, a Resident Evil live experience, carnival-style midway games, photos with costumed characters and merchandise. Tickets are sold through an Eventbrite link on the listing.
