Cornbelt fire district trustees to review 2027-28 levy draft Wednesday
The agenda also lists a Main Street station discussion; Sadorus holds its village meeting the same night
MAHOMET - Cornbelt Fire Protection District trustees will review a levy draft for 2027-2028 at their 6 p.m. meeting Wednesday, Oct. 21, according to the agenda posted on the district's website.
The fire chief is also set to lead a discussion of the Main Street station under old business. The agenda gives no levy amount and does not say what will be discussed about the station.
The agenda lists possible closed-session topics, including personnel, pending or likely litigation, buying or leasing property, setting a price for district property, collective bargaining and review of closed-session minutes, followed by any action from that session. It names categories only, not specific matters. The agenda does not list a meeting place.
In Sadorus, the village meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, and all residents are invited, according to an Oct. 19 post shown on the village's website. No agenda was posted; the village's website lists board meetings at Sadorus Village Hall, 115 E. Market St.
