Urbana Free Library trustees had FY27 budget amendment and $13,311 Ameren bill on Oct. 13 agenda

URBANA - The Urbana Free Library Board of Trustees was scheduled to act on an amendment to its fiscal 2027 budget at its Oct. 13 meeting, according to the board's agenda and packet. The packet lists three changes: moving $150,343.25 from the general fund balance to the capital fund's building repair and maintenance line, for the renovation general contractor's final invoice and work to install an automated materials handler; a $5,000 expense increase tied to an Illinois State Historical Records Advisory Board grant to digitize audio-visual materials from the Chanute Air Force Base collection; and a $375 shift from children's DVDs to downloadables for a Kanopy Kids subscription. Minutes showing the outcome have not been posted.

Trustees also listed a separate vote on an Ameren bill of $13,311.43. The consent agenda carried payrolls of $136,902.23 for Sept. 18 and $138,348.10 for Oct. 2, plus five sets of bills dated Sept. 8 through Oct. 5, the largest $36,491.31.

The meeting was set for 7 p.m. in the library's Lewis Auditorium, 210 W. Green St. The board's next regular meeting is 7 p.m. Nov. 10.
