Highway committee recommends $287,483 bridge contract for Stark Excavating
The County Board takes up the award, and an agreement on the county engineer's salary program, on its consent agenda.
URBANA - Champaign County Board's Highway and Transportation Committee on Friday recommended that the full board award a $287,483 bridge construction contract to Stark Excavating, Inc., according to the committee's action report and the draft resolution.
The work, Section 24-00143-00-BR, covers removal and in-kind replacement of precast prestressed concrete deck beams and substructure rehabilitation. The resolution is written for County Board adoption on Oct. 22.
Five members were present. The committee also recommended approval of an agreement for the county engineer's salary program and placed both items on the consent agenda. Bid results for a County Highway 8 bridge, Section 24-00144-00-BR, were reviewed for information only, with no award.
