BOISE CITY — St. Luke's honored Andy Erstad, founder of Erstad Architects, with its 2026 Ralph J. Comstock Jr. Light of Philanthropy Award at an Oct. 22 ceremony in Boise, according to a St. Luke's news post dated Oct. 29.

St. Luke's President and CEO Chris Roth has called the award "one of the highest honors we can bestow on somebody in our community," the post says. The ceremony was first held in 1996, and the 2025 recipient was health system board member Rich Raimondi.

Erstad founded his firm nearly 30 years ago and chairs the Idaho State Capitol Commission, according to St. Luke's. The hospital lists his firm's work at Zoo Boise, the Idaho Shakespeare Festival, the Salvation Army, Bishop Kelly High School and the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights.

He has chaired the St. Luke's Children's Board, the Boise City Design Review Committee, the Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Association and the Boise High School Lacrosse Club, the post says.
