Design Review Commission approves roughly 300-unit housing project near Trabuco and Victory
BOISE CITY — Boise's Design Review Commission on Oct. 14 unanimously approved a multifamily housing project, file DRH26-00248, near Trabuco and Victory, according to the city's meeting video.
The applicant told commissioners about 300 units was the right density for the site, limited by parking (video, 14:27). A commissioner noted the development agreement allows up to 320 units. The applicant also said Trabuco is being widened. One resident spoke against the number of units.
The approval motion changed condition J so the developer may mirror a building rather than rotate it, and was amended to require more articulation on the long two-story buildings facing Trabuco (video, 38:26). The applicant had said it did not plan to meet a bird-safe glazing condition; commissioners treated that condition, K, as fulfilled in the motion.
Commissioners Semple, Marsh, Aguilar, Erstad and Aronson voted yes, and the motion carried (video, 40:56).
