SVCE heat-pump rebates still open: reserve before install; up to $2,500 to replace a gas water heater
SVCE's page still lists open reservations as of Nov. 6. Apply and reserve before any install to stay eligible.
Silicon Valley Clean Energy's Home Rebates program is still accepting reservations as of a Nov. 6, 2026, check of its Home Rebates page. The page shows active "Reserve Your Rebate" applications and lists core amounts, with no depleted, closed or waitlist notice for main SVCE rebates. Extra city top-ups can run out; Los Altos city extras are listed as no longer available, but SVCE says that does not affect its standard rebates.
Applying and reserving before installation is required for eligibility, SVCE says. The rebate must be approved before the appliance is installed; approved reservations last up to 120 days. Emergency replacements that could not apply in advance should email programs@svcleanenergy.org. DIY projects qualify if properly permitted.
Replacing a gas water heater with a heat-pump water heater pays $2,500, or $3,500 income-qualified. Replacing a gas furnace with heat-pump heating and cooling pays $2,000, or $3,000 income-qualified. Induction cooktop or range rebates run $500 when replacing gas ($750 income-qualified). Add-ons after a core appliance include $1,000 for an electrical panel upgrade and $500 for gas-meter removal. Rebates cannot exceed project costs. Details: svcleanenergy.org/home-rebates.
