Recalls: gas boilers that can blow their covers, plus a power bank, kids' swing and nursing pillow
Federal safety regulators announced the recalls Oct. 29. Here is what to look for and how to get a repair or refund.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the federal agency that oversees household product safety, announced these recalls Oct. 29.
Gas boilers: About 4,726 NTI FTVN and TFTN (gray) and HTP EFTU (black) home boilers. A part inside can crack and let gas build up; if it ignites, the front cover can blow off, with fire and carbon monoxide risks. Stop using it and call maker Ariston at 800-688-2575 for a free repair. Keep smoke and CO alarms working.
HAIARA power banks: About 11,000 black "20W" model W5 PRO chargers with no date code, sold on Amazon by Mitrytech for $18 to $22. The battery can catch fire. Stop using it; refund through haiara.net/recalls.html.
Harkla sensory swings: About 25,541 blue compression swings with a four-hole ceiling hook, $100 to $130. The hook can separate. Free repair kit at harkla.co.
PILLANI nursing pillows: About 25,762 U-shaped pillows, model NP4351, sold on Amazon for $30 to $40. They can block a baby's breathing. Refund through pill-ani.com.
