Black Friday starts early: Target's sale begins Thursday, Best Buy's Friday
The two chains posted their holiday calendars. Best Buy also promises to match its own lower prices through the season.
Holiday sales are starting three weeks before Black Friday, which falls on Nov. 27 this year. Target's Early Black Friday sale runs Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 5–7, and Best Buy's early Black Friday deals and doorbusters begin Friday, Nov. 6, the retailers said in their own announcements.
Best Buy says it will post new deals every Friday after that, then run a 10-day Black Friday sale starting Nov. 19, Cyber Week deals Dec. 1–6 and a last-minute sale Dec. 18–24. Its stores will be closed Thanksgiving Day. Best Buy also says that if the price of an item it sells drops during the holidays, it will match the lower price; items from outside sellers on its Marketplace are excluded. Most purchases made Oct. 30 through Dec. 31 can be returned until Jan. 15, 2027.
Target says it is offering a different Deal of the Day every day from Nov. 1 through Dec. 24, and new limited-time deals every weekend after its early sale.
A tip: an early "doorbuster" is not always the season's lowest price. Keep receipts, check each store's price-match and return rules before you buy, and use a free price tracker to see an item's price history.
This is a shopping guide, not an endorsement. Daily News earns nothing from purchases.
