The Friends of the Almaden Library will hold a fall book sale Saturday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the community room of the Almaden Branch Library, 6445 Camden Ave., according to the San José Public Library's events calendar.

Shoppers can pick from a large collection of books and media at bargain prices, the library says.  A Friends of the Library group is a volunteer group that raises money for a library.  All money from this sale goes to the Almaden branch's books, activities and programs, and the supplies they need.

Admission is free; the library's events FAQ says all San José Public Library events are free.  The Friends had not posted 2026 book prices by Nov. 1.  At last fall's sale, adult hardbacks cost $3 and adult paperbacks $2, with children's books priced separately, according to the City Council District 10 events calendar.  Guests who need a disability accommodation can ask for one through the library's event page.  Almaden is a neighborhood in south San Jose.
