Bluey's Big Play brings the cartoon dog family to the stage this weekend

Bluey's Big Play, a live stage version of the Emmy-winning Australian cartoon about a family of dogs, plays four more shows this weekend at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts, according to Broadway San Jose, the touring-show presenter, and Visit San José, the city's tourism bureau.  Shows are Saturday, Oct. 31, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 1, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The theater is at 255 S. Almaden Blvd., downtown.  The story, by Bluey creator Joe Brumm, follows Bluey and her sister Bingo as they try to get Dad off a bean bag, told with large puppets and new music.

Tickets are sold through Ticketmaster.  Broadway San Jose also sells a limited number of rush tickets in person at the theater's box office.
