Library gives a free book to each child through Saturday
Anyone 18 or younger can pick one book at any San José library branch through Oct. 31.
SAN JOSE - Children and teens ages 0 to 18 can pick out one free book at any San José Public Library location through Saturday, Oct. 31, the library announced.
The yearly Halloween Booktacular Giveaway began Oct. 24 and runs while supplies last. Each young person must claim a book in person; parents and other caregivers cannot pick one up for a child. The limit is one book per person. No library card or sign-up is needed.
Spooky titles are part of the mix, but other kinds of books are also available, the library said. Costumes are welcome but not required. Adults are not eligible.
