Orem Planning Commission's Wolverine Flex rezone hearing is now noticed for Nov. 18

OREM - The Orem Planning Commission's public hearing on a request to rezone about 9.29 acres at 1075 South 1675 West is now noticed for Wednesday, Nov. 18, not Nov. 4, according to a city notice posted Nov. 2 on the Utah Public Notice Website. The commission's Nov. 4 agenda lists its 5:30 p.m. regular session as cancelled.

The request would change the property's zone from CM, Controlled Manufacturing, to PD-56, the Wolverine Flex Industrial Planned Development Zone, and amend Article 22-5-3(A) of the city code and the zoning map, the notice says.

The Nov. 18 hearing is set for about 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 56 North State Street. The proposed amendment is available for review at the Community Development office on the second floor of the same building, and questions go to the department at 801-229-7058, according to the notice.

The records do not say why the Nov. 4 session was cancelled. The city's page for the earlier Nov. 4 hearing notice on orem.gov still read as a live notice when it was opened Nov. 3.

The commission makes a recommendation on zoning map changes; the City Council makes the final decision.
