No Flood Watch or Wind Advisory in effect for Nashville as Sunday begins, NWS says
Both were cancelled Saturday; the weather service lists no active alerts for the area
NASHVILLE - The National Weather Service in Nashville cancelled its Flood Watch for Davidson County and much of Middle Tennessee at 10:59 a.m. Saturday. The agency's notice says flooding "is no longer expected to pose a threat" and asks people to "continue to heed remaining road closures."
The weather service also cancelled a Wind Advisory for Davidson County and other Middle Tennessee counties at 6:28 p.m. Saturday, saying "the threat has ended." As of early Sunday, its alert data for the Nashville point listed no active watches, warnings or advisories.
The weather service's Nashville climate report shows 0.51 inch of rain as of 7 p.m. Saturday. That figure is for the airport observation site and covers only part of the day, so it is not a full-day or countywide total.
Forecasts can change. The weather service updates its Nashville forecast throughout the day.
