NASHVILLE - Metro Parks will hold its Farm Day festival Saturday, Oct. 10, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bells Bend Outdoor Center, 4187 Old Hickory Blvd., according to the department's event listing.
The listing says the day will include farm animals, hayrides, tractors and farm machinery, music and local vendors. Demonstrations will include blacksmithing and corn shelling.
New this year is an AgSimulator, in which participants sit in a real harvester cab simulator and experience harvesting crops such as corn, cotton and hay through audio-visual simulations, the listing says.
The page invites all ages. It does not list an admission price or registration requirement. Metro Parks lists a contact phone number of 615-862-8400 and the email metroparks@nashville.gov.
