County offices, buses and Environmental Services close Wednesday, Nov. 11 for Veterans Day
Libraries open 1 to 5 p.m.; the Leisure Lagoon and Ice Rink close, the golf course keeps normal hours, and buses return Thursday.
LOS ALAMOS — Los Alamos County's administrative offices, Atomic City Transit and the Environmental Services division close Wednesday, Nov. 11 (Veterans Day), according to a Nov. 4 county announcement. Other facilities close or change hours:
- • Mesa Public Library and the White Rock Branch are open 1 to 5 p.m.
- • The Leisure Lagoon at the Aquatic Center is closed.
- • The Los Alamos County Ice Rink is closed.
- • The golf course, golf shop and driving range keep normal business hours.
- • Atomic City Transit, the county's free bus system, runs no service; regular service resumes Thursday, Nov. 12.
- • Environmental Services commercial and residential trash and recycling service resumes Thursday, Nov. 12.
- • Utilities are closed for regular business, but crews are on call for emergencies 24/7 at 505-662-8222.
