Question 2, dropping party-balance rules for most boards, failed 4,272 to 4,351, a 79-vote margin. Question 3, ending the rule that sends all remaining Department of Public Utilities operating profits to the General Fund, passed 4,554 to 4,057.

For assessor, Democrat Jeff Casalina leads Libertarian James Curtis Wernicke Jr., 4,797 to 4,276. Antonio L. Maggiore for sheriff, Probate Judge Perry C. Klare, Municipal Judge Elizabeth K. Allen and Magistrate Judge Catherine E. Taylor ran unopposed. County turnout was 59.30%.

Democrats Ben R. Lujan for U.S. Senate, Teresa Leger Fernandez for U.S. House District 3 and Deb Haaland for governor carried the county and lead overall. All four constitutional amendments and three state bond questions passed in Los Alamos and lead statewide.

The results are unofficial until the canvass is certified. The paper's ballot guide lists every race and question.
