LOGAN - Here is what is on tonight's public calendars, according to notices posted on the Utah Public Notice Website and the USU events calendar. Agendas can change, so check the linked notice before you go.

Public meetings

• Cache County Planning Commission, 5:30 p.m., County Council Chambers, 199 N. Main, Logan. A public hearing at 5:35 p.m. or shortly after takes up a code amendment that would set development standards for data centers in the county. The revised agenda also lists a request to amend the North Valley Landfill permit near Clarkston and a three-lot subdivision near Mendon.
• Cache County School District Board of Education study session, 5:30 p.m., Board Room in the Red Brick Building, 2035 N. 1200 E., North Logan. Reports on the agenda cover 2026 Acadience and RISE reading test results, the district technology plan, school choice, and a waiver request from InTech Collegiate Academy.
• Hyrum City Council, 6:30 p.m., Council Chambers, 60 W. Main. The agenda includes a resolution approving the city's sewer collection system master plan, the 2027 recreation fee schedule, a pay schedule change for fire and EMS positions, and a sole-source bid for switchgear design at Substation 3.
• Nibley City Council, 6:30 p.m., Nibley City Hall, 455 W. 3200 S., also on YouTube through nibleycity.gov. The agenda includes the city's 2025-26 audit, a presentation on a possible partnership with Retail Strategies on economic development, and a public hearing on vacating a utility easement at 956 W. 2600 S.

Games and free events

• Soccer: Utah State hosts San Diego State on Senior Night at 7:30 p.m. at Chuck and Gloria Bell Soccer Field. Current USU students get a free ticket, the USU calendar says.
• Growth and Balance: Data Centers, a free panel from USU's Community and Natural Resources Institute on how data centers affect Utah's land, water and energy, 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Whittier Center, 290 N. 400 E., Logan. Logan Municipal Council member Mike Johnson is among the panelists. Organizers ask people to RSVP (listing).
• Hashimoto Communication Arts Seminar, a talk by a regional freelance creative director, animator and illustrator, 7 to 8 p.m., Fine Arts Visual building, Room 150 on the USU campus. Free and open to the public (listing).
