Cache County School District opens 2027-28 school choice applications Nov. 15

NORTH LOGAN - Families who want their child at a Cache County School District school outside their boundary next year can apply starting Nov. 15, the district says.

The early open enrollment window for 2027-28 runs through the third Friday in February, Feb. 19. Seats are granted by lottery using board priorities, so applying early in the window gives no advantage. Parents may list up to three schools.

Applications are online in English and Spanish or on paper at the district's Legacy Campus building, 2063 N. 1200 E., North Logan. There is a non-refundable $5 processing fee. Families will hear by March 31 whether an application is approved, denied or waitlisted.

Late applications are first-come, first-served if space remains. Students accepted into a dual language immersion program don't need to apply.

Questions go to Aracely Pineda in Student Services at 435-752-3925 ext. 2061.

Why this matters

Parents who want a different school for next fall have about three months to apply, and missing the window means waiting for leftover seats.
