LOGAN - Utah State University will mark the Center for Civic Excellence’s first semester with events Nov. 12 and 13, including a campus panel on civic-mindedness, according to a USU Today announcement.

“From Campus to Community: Cultivating Civic-Mindedness” is set for 2 p.m. Nov. 13 in the Eccles Conference Center. Cornel West and Robert George will open with a conversation on disagreement, followed by a panel that also includes Gov. Spencer Cox and USU President Brad L. Mortensen, with Disagree Better’s Marianne Viray moderating, the university said.

Students are invited to a Jefferson Dinner at 6 p.m. Nov. 12. The dinner is free with limited seats and requires an RSVP, USU Today states. The president’s office asked those planning to attend the Nov. 13 panel to RSVP as well.
