Parowan planning commission to hear request to rezone West 325 South property to commercial
Owners J. Clair and Suzanne C. Morris asked to change the parcel from Residential-1 to General Commercial.
PAROWAN - The Parowan City Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing Nov. 4 on a request to rezone property in the 1600 block of West 325 South from Residential-1 to General Commercial, according to a city notice posted Oct. 22.
The owners, J. Clair Morris and Suzanne C. Morris, requested the change, the notice says. A rezone changes what the land may legally be used for; this one would move the property from a residential zone to a commercial one.
The notice does not say how the owners plan to use the land, how large the parcel is, or when the City Council would consider the request.
The hearing begins at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 35 E. 100 N., and residents are invited to comment. City Recorder Callie Bassett certified that the notice was mailed and posted Oct. 22.
