Cedar City Council sets Nov. 4 hearings on Iron Horse building height, rezone and unlisted uses
A development agreement would let buildings in the 2400 block of West 1250 South reach 50 feet instead of 35.
CEDAR CITY - The Cedar City Council will hold three public hearings at its Nov. 4 work meeting, including one on a development agreement that would let buildings in the 2400 block of West 1250 South rise to 50 feet instead of the 35-foot limit in the Mixed Use zone, according to a city notice updated Oct. 26.
That property is in the Iron Horse Residential Development Overlay. A second hearing covers rezoning land near 2300 West Cross Hollow Road, also in the overlay, from Residential Agricultural to Mixed Use. A rezone changes what land may legally be used for.
The third covers ordinance section 26-III-21. It would create a process for deciding whether a use not listed in the city's table of permitted and conditional uses matches an existing one or is new, and let the council classify such uses when needed.
Earlier notices set Planning Commission hearings on the zone change for Oct. 6 and on the agreement and ordinance change for Oct. 20. The council meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 10 N. Main St. The public is encouraged to attend.
