No excuse is needed, but voters must vote in the county where they are registered, according to the Oklahoma State Election Board. Voters must show a photo ID issued by the federal government, the state or a federally recognized tribe that shows their name and has an expiration date after the election (or none), or the free voter ID card the county election board mailed them. A voter without either may cast a provisional ballot after signing a sworn affidavit.
On Election Day, polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters can find their polling place and a sample ballot on the OK Voter Portal with their name and date of birth. The election board can be reached at 405-366-0210. Our Oct. 26 story has more on the sites.
