Three ACPS principals out of the building as board crisis talk builds
The division says the Monticello, Baker-Butler and Woodbrook principals are on extended leave; more than 100 Monticello students walked out Sept. 30.
Albemarle County Public Schools told families that the principals of Monticello High, Baker-Butler Elementary and Woodbrook Elementary are out of their buildings for an extended period. The division did not give reasons or return dates.
A division spokesperson said leave is a status, not a disciplinary action. On Sept. 30, more than 100 Monticello students walked out in support of their principal.
