Charlottesville School Board holds budget work session Thursday on priorities and administrator pay study
The 5 p.m. session at Charlottesville High follows the division's first Budget Bistro.
CHARLOTTESVILLE - The Charlottesville City School Board will hold a budget work session at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, according to the board's meeting notice. The session is in the Booker T. Reaves Media Center at Charlottesville High School, 1400 Melbourne Road.
The notice lists the topics as the board's direction, priorities and programs it values, along with the results of an administration compensation study. The agenda and supporting materials are posted on the board's Electronic School Board site.
The public may attend in person or watch on the division's Facebook page. Residents who want to speak during community comment periods must register for the division's Zoom webinar, and anyone may email the board at schoolboard@charlottesvilleschools.org, the notice says.
The work session follows the division's first Budget Bistro, where about 200 staff, family members and students gave feedback on budget priorities, according to the division's Oct. 7 newsletter. The board's next regular meeting is Nov. 5 at 5:30 p.m.
