Forest Preserve Friends Foundation's Whiskey Hike returns Oct. 18 at Buffalo Trace
Tickets are $55 in advance and $65 at the door.
CHAMPAIGN COUNTY - The third annual Whiskey Hike at Buffalo Trace in Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve runs from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, according to the Champaign County Forest Preserve District.
Hikers will find curated whiskey tastings from Watsons Shack & Rail along the trail. Proceeds benefit the Forest Preserve Friends Foundation and go toward the district's conservation, education and recreation work, including the new Nature Center at Homer Lake.
Tickets are $55 per person in advance, with $5 off each ticket when buying several, and $65 at the door. Children attend free; buyers should note how many guests under 21 are coming. Online sales close at midnight Oct. 17.
