UT interim president Pastides holds campus listening session at Falk Theatre
Four days into the job, he took questions from faculty and staff and met students at a reception.
TAMPA - Four days into the job, University of Tampa interim president Harris Pastides answered questions from the campus community Thursday, Nov. 5, at Falk Theatre, the university said in a newsroom report.
Vice President of Marketing Lorraine Daignault led the discussion before Pastides met students, faculty and staff at a reception, according to UT. He said he paused retirement to come to Tampa and pointed to the campus community as the reason.
"The people who smile as you pass them. The legacy of how we take care of our students," Pastides said, per the university. He encouraged people to stop him on campus with concerns.
Pastides was appointed interim president last month while a national search for a long-term leader continues. The university reported no board action or policy change from the session.
