Tampa posts Land Development Code Installment 2 on project review and appeals
The city says the draft covers how development projects are reviewed and approved and adjusts how decisions can be appealed.
TAMPA - The City of Tampa has posted Installment 2 of its updated Land Development Code, according to the city's Development Coordination page on the Tampa Forward code update.
The city says the installment includes rules for how development projects are reviewed and approved, aims to make that process easier to understand, and adjusts how decisions can be appealed. A public draft PDF of Installment 2 is linked from the city's document page.
Tampa Forward held a community meeting on Installment 2 on Oct. 29, 2026, and linked a presentation from that meeting. The Code Update Advisory Meeting also met Oct. 2, with a recording and presentation posted on the same page.
The Development and Growth Management site flagged an update dated Nov. 5, 2026. This draft sticks to the city's posted summary; it does not pull specific rule changes, vote schedules or an effective date from the Installment 2 PDF.
