Orbbec shows Gemini 3D cameras and robot-free training kit at ROBOTWORLD 2026
The company is pitching navigation and wrist cameras for robots, plus head- and wrist-worn gear to capture human demos for AI training.
Orbbec, a 3D camera maker listed in Shanghai, said Wednesday it is showing robot vision gear at ROBOTWORLD 2026 in Goyang, South Korea, through a local partner.
Robots need depth cameras — sensors that measure how far objects are — to avoid bumps and grab items. Orbbec said its Gemini 330 series handles indoor and outdoor navigation, while the compact Gemini 305 mounts on robot wrists for close-up grasping.
For training Physical AI models, the company also showed a robot-free data kit with EGO head-worn capture and WristCam views of hand work, so teams can record human demonstrations without a full robot on site.
Orbbec cited Frost & Sullivan for a 29% global robotic 3D vision revenue share in 2025 and said it is building a Vietnam plant of more than 100,000 square meters due in 2027. Market-share figures come from the cited firms via Orbbec.
