NASHVILLE - The Hiawatha Education Foundation is funding a new practice track and field at Overbrook Catholic School in West Nashville, according to a Nov. 6 announcement from the Diocese of Nashville.

The St. Victor Track and Field will sit next to the school's existing track and will include a three-lane 300-meter track around an interior field. The diocese said Overbrook students will use it for recess, and Overbrook track, cross country and other athletes will use it with the existing facilities on The Dominican Campus.

A second gift establishes the Overbrook Catholic School Athletic Admissions and Track and Cross Country Program Endowment for program support, maintenance, coaching, equipment and uniforms, meet hosting, covering admission fees at school-hosted events, and Booster Club activities. Gift dollar amounts are not stated in the release.

Construction is set to begin in February 2027, with completion anticipated in May 2027, the diocese said.
