First Unitarian Universalist Church lists postcard-writing event and online book club Monday
Events set for Oct. 12, according to the church's calendar
NASHVILLE - First Unitarian Universalist Church of Nashville lists two events for Monday, Oct. 12, according to its online calendar. The church will hold a postcard-writing session it calls "Notes for Votes" from 5 to 8 p.m. in its Social Hall at 1808 Woodmont Blvd.
The church's event page describes it as a postcard-writing campaign in which participants write short messages to voters. The page does not name candidates, parties, races or an organizing group. It says snacks will be served and RSVPs are requested.
Separately, the church's anti-racist book club meets online at 6 p.m. via Google Meet, the calendar shows. The page says October's selection is "How to Survive the Apocalypse: Poems" by Jacqueline Allen Trimble, and that the group meets the second Monday of each month.
