MOUNT HOLLY - The City of Mount Holly will host GIS Day under the title "Maps at the Mill" on Wednesday, Nov. 18, according to the city's events calendar.
The free open house runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Grand Hall, 400 E. Central Ave. Families and community members may drop in any time during those hours.
The calendar says local towns, cities and counties will be on hand to show how they use geographic information systems. This year's theme pairs historic maps with modern GIS under the banner of celebrating America 250.
