Personnel Board approves 2027 work plan, hears vacancy rate is up
LOS ALAMOS - The Los Alamos County Personnel Board approved its 2027 work plan by voice vote at its Oct. 27 meeting and was presented a proposed 2027 meeting calendar, according to the agenda and the meeting video.
In her report, Human Resources Manager Bernadette Martinez told the board the county's vacancy rate had risen to 7.95%, driven in part by retirements, and said transit positions have seen high turnover for at least a decade, which the county is studying with a transit market study.
