Bradbury Science Museum adds adults-only Halloween Bash Oct. 31
LOS ALAMOS - The Bradbury Science Museum will host its first adults-only Halloween event, the Brad-buried Halloween Bash, from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, according to a Los Alamos National Laboratory news release.
The 18-and-over party includes a strobe-light silent disco, for which guests should bring headphones, plus a food truck and horror movies, the release says. Costumes are encouraged. There is no set ticket price; guests are asked to donate what they can at the door or online in advance, with proceeds going to the Bradbury Science Museum Association, the museum's nonprofit partner.
"We want Los Alamos' young adults and the older crowd, too, to have options for entertainment into the evening hours," said Museum Director Patrick Moore.
The museum's free, family-oriented High-Tech Halloween runs from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, during Trick-or-Treat on MainStreet. Activities listed include a bubble station, a Lightning Cave, a cloud chamber, potion-making, a wind tunnel and a robotic claw handing out candy, and the Children's Museum of Santa Fe will appear.
Pets and other live animals, weapons of any kind, including costume pieces, and alcohol are not allowed inside the museum, the release says.
