Ridgeline, the 4A top seed, hosts Highland in Friday's state quarterfinals
Sky View and Mountain Crest saw their seasons end in close first-round losses.
Ridgeline is the only Cache County team left in the 4A football playoffs. Top-seeded Ridgeline hosts No. 8 Highland at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, in the quarterfinals, according to the UHSAA 4A bracket, which the association links from its football page.
Ridgeline reached the quarterfinals with a 45-0 first-round win over No. 16 Mountain View on Oct. 30. Highland advanced by beating No. 9 Bear River 70-42.
Two other county teams were eliminated that night. No. 13 Sky View lost 16-13 at No. 4 Snow Canyon, and No. 10 Mountain Crest fell 29-27 at No. 7 Salem Hills, the bracket shows.
What's next
Quarterfinals are played at the higher seed's home field. The semifinals are Nov. 12 and 13 and the 4A championship is Nov. 20, all at Rice-Eccles Stadium at the University of Utah, according to the bracket.
