Center Church seeks volunteers Saturday to ready Branchlands Blvd. property as new home
A second workday at 590 Branchlands Blvd. is set for Nov. 14.
CHARLOTTESVILLE - Center Church is asking volunteers to help prepare 590 Branchlands Blvd. for its future use as the congregation's new church home, according to the church's events page. The first workday is Saturday, Oct. 17.
The church says volunteers will clear debris from the property, do preparatory landscaping and power-wash. A second workday on Nov. 14 adds light painting to the list of tasks. The events page does not list start times.
Center Church currently meets at 475 Westfield Road, where Sunday services are held at 9:15 and 11 a.m. and 4 and 5:30 p.m., with the two morning services also streamed online. The church's events page does not say when the congregation expects to move.
The church also lists a five-week Mission of God class beginning Oct. 18, which it says is meant to help participants discover their role in global mission.
