Lucinda Williams brings World's Gone Wrong Tour to the Paramount Oct. 16
The singer-songwriter's show includes an opening set by Danny Reidy.
CHARLOTTESVILLE - Lucinda Williams and her band play the Paramount Theater on Friday, Oct. 16, at 7:30 p.m. on the World's Gone Wrong Tour, according to the theater's event page. Nashville-based musician Danny Reidy opens.
The tour is named for Williams' 18th studio album. The Paramount says she and her main co-writers, husband and co-producer Tom Overby and guitarist Doug Pettibone, wrote and recorded its 10 songs in response to events in spring 2025, setting aside another album already in progress. "I felt a sense of urgency in making this record," singer-songwriter Lucinda Williams says in the theater's notes.
The album was recorded at Ray Kennedy's Room & Board Studio in Nashville with guitarist Marc Ford, drummer Brady Blade and longtime bassist David Sutton. Norah Jones plays piano and sings on the closing track, "We've Come Too Far to Turn Around."
Williams has won three Grammy awards, and Time magazine named her America's Best Songwriter in 2001, the theater notes.
The event page does not list ticket prices. The Paramount box office is at 434-979-1333.
