Rantoul City Schools board to pick secretary and treasurer Oct. 22; Unit 4 board meets Oct. 26

RANTOUL - The Rantoul City Schools board meets Thursday, Oct. 22, at 6 p.m. in the Robert D. Little Board Room, 1 Aviation Center Drive, according to the district's posted agenda. Members are set to elect a board secretary, appoint a board treasurer and act on employment-based permanent residency sponsorship and service commitment agreements.

The consent agenda lists a memorandum of understanding with the Rantoul City Schools Education Association on a teacher vacancy grant, credit card updates, bills and a personnel report. Presentations on emergency operations planning, curriculum and instruction, and the district's MTSS behavioral team are scheduled, along with a student discipline report. The meeting streams on Zoom.

Rantoul Township High School District 193's Finance Committee meets the same day at 5 p.m., the district's meeting schedule shows.

In Champaign, the Unit 4 school board holds its next regular meeting Monday, Oct. 26, at 5:30 p.m. at the Mellon Building, 703 S. New St., according to the district's events calendar. Unit 4's next middle school tour is Sunday, Oct. 25, 1-3 p.m., at International Prep Academy, the district's posts say.
