Michelle's Bridal & Tuxedo to host wedding vendor showcase Nov. 1 at Hotel Royer
More than 15 local wedding businesses are signed on for a cocktail hour and runway show.
URBANA - Michelle's Bridal & Tuxedo will host a wedding showcase it calls "The CU Wedding Collective Experience" from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, at Hotel Royer in Urbana, according to a release the shop posted Oct. 16 on the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce's member news page.
The release says more than 15 Champaign-Urbana wedding businesses have signed on so far, covering florals, photography, jewelry, DJ and entertainment, beauty, cakes, rentals and clothing boutiques, with more partners still joining.
The first hour is a vendor cocktail hour, where guests can meet the businesses over hors d'oeuvres and one complimentary cocktail. From 2 to 3 p.m., the shop will stage a runway show in Centennial Hall with bridal gowns, tuxedos and suits, mother-of-the-wedding outfits, special-occasion looks and prom styles.
Tickets are required and cover both parts of the afternoon, plus giveaways. The release does not give a price or say where to buy tickets; Michelle's Bridal & Tuxedo is the contact for details.
The shop says it has served customers across Central Illinois for more than 40 years.
