Eastbound Country Club and Perkins lanes in Urbana closed through Friday; MTD reroutes two routes
A contractor is removing the center median; seven bus stops are closed.
URBANA - The eastbound lane of Country Club Road and Perkins Road is closed between Willow Road and Carroll Avenue until 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, according to a City of Urbana Public Works Department notice. The closure began at 7 a.m. Oct. 12.
Contractor A&R Services, Inc. is removing the center median as part of the Country Club Road and Perkins Road Improvements, working on Country Club first and then Perkins, the city said. Other closures for the project remain in place, and access to all properties will be maintained.
The Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District lists the closure as Country Club eastbound between Willow and Cunningham through Oct. 16. Its notice reroutes the 10E Gold along Broadway and Kerr and sends the 110S Ruby from Willow to Country Club, Broadway, Kerr, Carroll and Perkins.
Seven stops are closed: Broadway at Oakland, Thompson and Country Club; Country Club at Division and at Willow; and Cunningham at Thompson and at Oakland, MTD says. Questions go to Public Works at 217-384-2342.
