Niagara Bottling site on West Clark Road to close Oct. 15, cutting 15 jobs, state notice says
The company filed a layoff notice with the state in August.
CHAMPAIGN - Niagara Bottling LLC and Waters of America Company plan to close a site at 3201 W. Clark Road in Champaign on Oct. 15, permanently laying off 15 workers, according to a notice filed with the state.
The notice appears in the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity's monthly report of layoff notices filed under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act. It was received Aug. 13 and lists the cause as reorganization. The workers are not represented by a union, the report says.
The report does not say what the site is used for or whether the company has other operations in Champaign. The August report is the most recent the state has posted.
