Northbound North Goodwin Avenue is closed between Clark and Main streets from 7 a.m. Oct. 26 to 8 a.m. Nov. 2 for water work, and MTD's Illini and Illini Limited buses are detouring, with the Goodwin & University stop closed. West University Avenue has intermittent lane reductions over the same week, and North Broadway Avenue stays closed to through traffic through Oct. 30.
The Champaign County Regional Planning Commission has left the Brookens Administrative Center in Urbana for its new RPC Center at 2107 S. Neil St. in Champaign and says it will offer no in-person services there Oct. 26-30. It has not posted a date for in-person services to resume.
The Champaign County jail population was 213 on Sunday, Oct. 25, up from 211 the day before, with 18 bookings, 17 arrests and 10 releases recorded for Oct. 24, according to the sheriff's daily corrections report.
