St. George council sets Oct. 27 hearing on $335,000 for Uber pilot program
ST. GEORGE - The St. George City Council will hold a public hearing Oct. 27 on an ordinance amending this year's budget to move $335,000 from the general fund to an Uber pilot program set to start by Nov. 1, according to the council's Oct. 13 agenda, where the ordinance was introduced.
Also up for hearing is a rezoning of 2.33 acres at 15222 Perkins Road from Residential-1 to Business-1. The city zoning commission recommended it 4-1, with conditions that include typical business hours, no billboards and no heavy equipment storage, the agenda shows.
The council will also hear a conditional use permit for a 184-foot wireless communications tower at 16001 River Road and a permit for a detached accessory dwelling unit on Macbeth Drive in Parkwood Estates. The zoning commission recommended both 5-0. Council meetings stream on the city's YouTube channel.
