ENFIELD - New Britain beat Enfield 41-28 in football Friday night at Enfield High, according to the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference team schedule page, which posted the result after Saturday's edition went out. Enfield hosts Southington at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30.
Also Friday, Granby/Canton beat Stafford-Somers 42-21 at Canton High, according to the CIAC page. Stafford-Somers plays at Weaver/Hartford Public/Classical at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at Hartford Public High.
On Saturday, Somers field hockey won 4-1 at Thomaston and hosts Suffield at 4 p.m. Wednesday. Woodstock Academy beat Somers girls soccer 4-2 at Somers High; Somers hosts Canton at 6:15 p.m. Thursday.
East Windsor boys soccer lost 1-0 at Canton on Saturday night and plays at East Granby at noon Saturday, Oct. 31. The CREC football team, which plays at the Academy of Computer Science and Engineering in Enfield, lost 62-20 at home Saturday to Weaver/Hartford Public/Classical.
