East Windsor planner presents 10-year town plan; hearing continues Oct. 27
EAST WINDSOR - Town Planner Ruth Calabrese walked the Planning and Zoning Commission through the proposed 2026-2036 Plan of Conservation and Development on Oct. 13, and the commission voted to continue the public hearing to Oct. 27, according to revised draft minutes posted by the town.
Calabrese said the plan's vision is unchanged from 2016 and 2024 and that the town's rural, agricultural and business character must be preserved, the minutes say. She reviewed the plan's five focus areas, a side-by-side summary of changes, housing, an economic incentive policy and town facilities.
Commissioners discussed wording changes and a possible tagline. One resident who spoke raised concerns about PFAS and its effect on development, the minutes show.
The minutes also say Calabrese asked for a special meeting on Nov. 10 because several items are on the docket, and the chairman confirmed a quorum for that date. The minutes are not official until approved.
