Restrooms at Ben T. Davis Beach closed for plumbing repair, no reopening date
The city says it hopes to reopen them soon but can't offer a timetable; new beach water-quality results are due Oct. 29-30.
TAMPA - The restrooms at Ben T. Davis Beach are closed for a plumbing repair, the City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department says in a notice dated Oct. 28.
The city says it hopes to reopen the restrooms soon but cannot offer a timetable. The notice covers the restrooms; it does not announce a closure of the beach itself.
Separately, the city's beach advisories page says that as of Oct. 22 there were no water-quality advisories for any City of Tampa beach. The next results from the Florida Healthy Beaches Program, which checks beach water for bacteria, are expected Oct. 29-30, according to the city.
The city recommends checking the Florida Healthy Beaches website for current advisories before a beach visit.
